Additionally, Opticom also offers Public Address (PA) Systems. PA Systems are a centralized systems comprised of loudspeakers, amplifiers, microphones and audio switching matrixes that are used to announce alarms and provide voice paging to multiple or single areas of a facility using loudspeakers. A facility no matter the size can be separated into zones which gives you the ability to communicate with specific areas at a time.
Although PA systems can be used in all facilities, it is extremely beneficial in larger facilities because they provide those within the facility with notifications, important announcements and alarms. Also depending on the environment loudspeakers that are installed can be fire retardant or weather-proofed to ensure operational readiness and they can be omnidirectional to transmit or receive messages on either end of the speaker. These loudspeakers have the ability to be operated from one control desk to multiple control desks.
